Warehouse and Logistics
Warehouse and Logistics
More than ever, warehouse and manufacturing operations managers need to carefully monitor the flow of personnel, vehicles and equipment in their heavily trafficked facilities. Warehouses are becoming larger, inventories are increasing exponentially, and layouts and traffic flow can be dynamic and complex. This makes it increasingly difficult to keep an eye on your entire operation in order to keep it running in a safe, secure and efficient manner.
Redpoint's Real Time Location System (RTLS) solution improves warehouse or industrial operations and safety by tracking important assets such as forklifts, operators, visitors and critical, high value tools. Key features and benefits of Redpoint’s RTLS include:
Monitor vehicles and staff in real time
With location accuracy much higher than GPS and as small as 8 inches and system latency virtually at zero, Redpoint delivers benefits that go well beyond just telling you where your vehicles are at a point in time.
For those utilizing specialized equipment or moving high-value inventory, asset tags prevent theft or the misplacing of tools.
Manage vehicle operation to reduce incidents
Redpoint RTLS can detect and alarm potential collision conditions
By giving you insights into areas of congestion and identifying risk locations, it is easy to configure and reconfigure virtual geofences in your warehouse or production floor.
The Redpoint RTLS system has the lowest latency available so it captures incident and location data in real time. Safety and efficiency are increased when you use the Redpoint system for:
Proactive intervention: Reduce collisions by identifying problem zones and adapting warehouse layouts and warning systems.
Route planning: Improve throughput and productivity by developing more efficient routes through each facility.
Workload balancing: Enhance equipment utilization through proximity detection and redeployment of assets where they are needed.
Emergency response: Identify and respond to incidents in near real time, including automatic collision avoidance.
Proximity warning detection and safety buffer zones
System administrators can easily set up geofences and buffer zones around vehicles, personnel and high traffic or dangerous areas of operation to reduce vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-pedestrian and vehicle-to-object collisions. When equipment or workers enter a defined zone, our system can trigger facility signal lights, alarms and/or a high visibility LED safety vests. This is used to alert others who are working in close proximity or to warn workers that they have entered a restricted area.
Capture historical data for trackables and zones
Operations management carefully tracks movement of vehicles and helps identify alternative travel routes that would improve throughput and productivity. Data layouts and reports show current activity, utilization by type of asset being tracked (ex. the movement of people or even a particular type of equipment) and generates heatmaps, asset movement (spaghetti) diagrams, and route playback.
